Growing up surrounded by the vibrant waves of Ventura County and the redwood-kissed hills of Santa Cruz County, animals were always my soulmates. But 15 years ago, at Ventura County Animal Services, my connection with dogs deepened into a mission of empowerment. Witnessing their challenges ignited a fire in me to help them blossom, leading me to Lake Havasu where I now thrive as a positive reinforcement dog trainer.
Here, alongside my partner/husband Jason and our sassy and sweet rescue pitbull, Cyrax, I live life to the fullest. Cyrax is more than just my beloved dog; she's the living embodiment of why I do what I do. From overcoming past uncertainties to becoming the biggest goofball with the gentlest soul, her journey is a testament to the power of positive training and unconditional love.
When I'm not unlocking canine potential, you can find me volunteering with Search and Rescue, lending a hand at local animal shelters, or pushing my dancing shoes to the limit with some challenging line dancing routines. But truly, Lake Havasu's spirit resonates with my soul. Jason, Cyrax, and I love to explore the vastness of the desert, conquering off-road trails in our jeep, hitting the hiking paths with boots laced, and cruising the glassy waters in our boat. The desert sunsets fill our hearts with warmth, and there's nothing quite like the sun kissing the lake while Cyrax naps at our feet, content and free.
